If you were in trouble or ran afoul of the law, which fictional detective or investigator—from tv, movies, or books—would you want to help you?

Gene Hunt, Judge John Deed or Torchwood... yeah... that'll do

Title: Dances With Wolves - Prologue
Author: weeping_angel91
Pairing: Ianto/Ophelia (OC), Some Jack/Gwen and references to Jack/Ianto and Gwen/Rhys
Overall Summary: Ianto Jones thinks he’s finally found the girl of his dreams. As he falls deeper in love with her, he falls deeper into a world he never knew existed. It is a world where even just knowing about it puts everybody he loves and cares for in grave danger, as does a powerful curse that has weaved its spell upon him...
Chapter Summary: Introduction of some original characters and sets the scene for later chapters.
Part: 1/?
Rating/Warnings: PG (Probably for the whole fic)- Just because I think it's quite dark. Deals with death/murder and brings religion in to play.
Spoilers: Mentions things from both series of Torchwood
Note/Disclaimer: This fic was heavily inspired by The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Twilight, Being Human and of course, Torchwood. Sadly, I own none of these... boo hiss boo...

He could not risk the child maturing into the same vicious creature that he knew had caused the wounds. This was a child of the underworld, and that was where it had to go. )

I'm Bored... Therefore I'm Angry...

  • Mar. 15th, 2009 at 8:52 PM

So I lied when I said I didn't have any homework to do, but I've been banned from doing anything and told to celebrate my exam results instead. So I did.

But that just made me really bored...

I get angry when I'm bored...

I've got two mega-fics on the go at the moment, so I've tried working on them. It hasn't stopped me lashing out at everybody I've come in to contact though. I even tried taking my anger out on some potatoes lol!

I have issues... I know...

I'm also in the middle of making a hate list. My form tutor is at the top...

What celebrity do you think looks like you? What celebrity do other people say you look like?

View 503 Answers

I don't think I look like any celebrity really.

In answer to the other question, a lot of my friends say that I bear a slight resemblance to Eve Myles which is crazy because she's so much prettier than I am. I think the same can be said when they tell me I look a little like Anne Hathaway in the Devil Wears Prada (When I can be bothered to straighten my hair)...

Have you ever met a celebrity in real life? Who was it and how did your paths cross?

I met Myles Kane from the Last Shadow Puppets last February. Me and some mates were at his band's (The Rascals) gig in Liverpool and we were lost. He helped us out and gave us directions lol!

On the oter hand, I have seen a few other famous people. I went to a Knicks game in New York last month and saw John Legend, Whoopi Goldberg and Mel B. In Harrods I saw Heidi Klum and Joan Rivers called my friend 'Doll' outside Bloomingdales.

You see footballers in the Trafford Centre loads and loads of the Hollyoaks cast in the town where I live. The guy who plays Tony calls me darling when he comes into the shop where I work lol!

So I was in a bomb scare today...

My college was involved. The whole thing was actually quite terrifying. Nobody would tell us anything, but I guess being locked inside a building and not knowing what was going on is scarier that knowing everything.

So far, everybody is safe. I just hope it stays that way...

I need a drink...

Valentine's Day: love it or hate it?

View 500 Answers

Not really a fan. As a friend of mine said the other day, Valentine's day makes you feel depressed if you're single, but also if you're in a relationship because you have to spend money on other people.

I guess I find that Valentine's, like Halloween, has become over commercialised and just a way for businesses to make money. If you love someone, why do you need a specific day to tell them, surely you should tell them all the time/ Or is that just my lack of experience/jealousy talking here?

A hello, a new fic and a goodbye...

  • Feb. 10th, 2009 at 12:30 PM

Hmm... it appears this is my first post here. I never really get chance to do anything, but I'm completely stumped on my English coursework so I need something to pass the time for the rest of the lesson.

I think I mentioned in my profile that most of the stuff on here will be fan fiction. Nearly everything I've previously written appears on other websites, but I think this is probably the best place to put it. Anyway, I started writing another one on a plane the other day (as you do) and hopefully I should get the first bit up soon.

So here's the goodbye. I have to get a first draft in by Friday. Not going to happen considering I was 3000 miles away this time last week *sighs* good times...

Laters...

(Can't believe I just said that...)

Writer's Block: Doctor Who?

  • Jan. 7th, 2009 at 3:23 PM

26-year-old actor Matt Smith was anointed as the eleventh Doctor Who this week. If you were in charge of casting, who would you cast as your ideal Doctor and why?

Personally, I quite like Matt Smith. As much as I love David Tennant, I think the show needs somehing completely new. As for who I would cast as the Doctor, I think I'm gonna have to go with Phillip Glenister.
